Over at thesixthaxis, they’ve covered the upcoming Top Gun game we’ve been working on. In the photo above you can also see a flight stick in the background, which is the Saitek Aviator in case you’re wondering. Whilst it’s only briefly mentioned in the preview, the game does support the stick – to the extent that we created a custom button mapping specifically for it. We’ll be having more updates regarding Top Gun in the oncoming weeks, so stay tuned!

After a rather heated bout of Street Fighter IV over lunch, Kwok (one of our beloved artists – who was also featured in one of our podcasts no less) unleashed his wrath via photoshop. I’ve written a feature for the Escapist as to the origin of Japanese mecha games and that the effect of samurai has been a culturally palpable one. I didn’t come up with the title but it’s catchy and apt I think. Enjoy!
We’ve done some more videos for the upcoming and suitably wonderful Burn Zombie Burn. They show how co-op multiplayer works as well as one of the game’s vision modes (which is called Zombie Vision). There will be some more videos uploaded later on this month, so watch this space!

I’ve written yet another entry to my column about the wondrous Virtual On series. This is to commemorate the upcoming digital download version of Oratorio Tangram. I hope you enjoy my somewhat lengthy ramblings (this also got posted on Gamasutra).
Yes, we have. How exciting! We’ll be using this space to add exciting new movies of all of our games. At the moment we’ve got a couple of Burn Zombie Burn grabs that demonstrate how to play the game and show some of the core game dynamics…
We’re planning on some more gameplay footage soon – including co-op multiplayer and what happens when you get a long way into a game and how hectic and insane it gets…!

This edition of my regular mechanical musings is more conceptual I suppose, as it covers the genre of mecha gaming in relation to just simple presentation of mecha (like the Gundam Musou games, which are more aesthetic tie-ins than functional ones). Here’s hoping it stops ignorant numpties from calling Gundam Musou a “mecha game”.
Yes, that’s right folks…! We’ve been busy chipping away at our (second) iPhone release – Iron Man: Aerial Assault for the last few months, published by Paramount with a lot of input from Marvel it hit the apple store on Saturday.
