After much delay, the In Space DLC for Burn Zombie Burn has finally reached US shores. Priced at $2.99 the pack includes two new maps; Engine Room and Mothership Bridge, with a veritable panoply of levels and challenges attached to them. In addition, the US version of the game has been patched again – so even if you don’t buy the DLC you still get the all new Survival mode absolutely free!

Unfortunately, the In Space DLC for Burn Zombie Burn has been delayed a few weeks for its US release. We originally were told that the DLC would go live on May 18th, however this date has now been pushed back to June 8th.
In short, the DLC will definitely get its US release but just a little bit later than expected. Naturally, this is frustrating for us as well as our US BZB fans. All we can ask is if you can hold out just a little bit longer.

For the Burn Zombie Burn fans that have been waiting since last year for the game’s first DLC, we’re really very sorry about the delay. The last six months have been hugely busy for us and there are only so many of us here at doublesix. The good news is that it is in submission at Sony and we’ve also got a new patch for the game on the way too. This patch adds a whole new game mode amongst other things, so even if you don’t buy the DLC you’ll still get a totally free game mode (that’s our way of saying “thanks” for being so patient!).
In any case, we’ll be updating on the status of “In Space” in the coming weeks, as well as uploading a few super-play videos to our YouTube channel (for the nay sayers out there who still think we plucked the Dev Scores “out of thin air”). So keep your eyes peeled.

Those lovely people over at PS3 Attitude interviewed us about the upcoming “In Space” DLC and patches, as well as various other things too (including the next planned DLC pack). With any luck, the closer we get to the “In Space” launch, we’ll have more cool things to announce in the coming weeks.
We’ve been featured on the official PlayStation blog today, talking about our Burn Zombie Burn themed Home space as well as the upcoming “In Space” DLC (the trailer for that is shown below). For those interested, there’s also a nice interview over at IGN with Dave Dow, a creative lead at doublesix, with him talking all about the new Home space.
