Top Gun Trailer

After a fair bit of waiting, the trailer for our Top Gun game has finally been shown to the world. We’ve also had some more previews for the game too, from Daily Joypad to NXTGamer and even Strategy Informer. Again, these were hands on demos and it seems that they really liked what they played (which is always encouraging). Still no word on the European release date but we’ll know soon hopefully. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer below…

Top Gun Previews

Earlier in the week we were busy in giving hands on previews to the press for our upcoming Top Gun game. From CVG to PS3 Attitude, the game’s been covered in a fair bit of detail. Even places like BeefJack, Girl Gamers UK and Electronic Theatre managed to give a good amount of coverage for the game, the latter even made some lovely comparisons to Star Fox 64 – so thanks for that! Our favourite piece was by Resolution Magazine though, if only for the barrel roll mention.

For those curious, the build we demoed was actually the final US release (that’s out on August 17th in case you’re wondering). We’re still waiting on the European release date but once we get that we’ll let you know. In the meantime, make sure to check out our developer diary over at IGN.

What with the Steam release of Burn Zombie Burn but a few days away, Gametrailers have been kind enough to host the exclusive debut trailer for the PC version (shown below). For those that played the PS3 original then the PC version will afford you the same amount of zombie burning goodness. You can pre-order the PC version on Steam here and it will go live on August 12th.

Top Gun previewed on thesixthaxis

Over at thesixthaxis, they’ve covered the upcoming Top Gun game we’ve been working on. In the photo above you can also see a flight stick in the background, which is the Saitek Aviator in case you’re wondering. Whilst it’s only briefly mentioned in the preview, the game does support the stick – to the extent that we created a custom button mapping specifically for it. We’ll be having more updates regarding Top Gun in the oncoming weeks, so stay tuned!

Burn Zombie Burn Leaderboards Updated

Now that the recent patch (v1.03) for Burn Zombie Burn has gone global, we’ve wiped down the online leaderboards again – as we radically changed the leaderboard setup in the new patch. However, do not worry as you can still re-upload your high scores stored locally on your PlayStation 3.

In Space Released in the US!

Posted on : 09-06-2010 | By : ollie | In : In Space

After much delay, the In Space DLC for Burn Zombie Burn has finally reached US shores. Priced at $2.99 the pack includes two new maps; Engine Room and Mothership Bridge, with a veritable panoply of levels and challenges attached to them. In addition, the US version of the game has been patched again – so even if you don’t buy the DLC you still get the all new Survival mode absolutely free!

Top Gun Announced!

For those that grew up in the 80′s, we hope you’ll like the news that our next game is none other than Top Gun for the PlayStation 3. We’ve all been hard at work on this for a good while and at its core the game is an arcade flight shooter in the same vein as Ace Combat and HAWX (though much faster and more visceral). Naturally, we’ll be talking about the game in the oncoming weeks and maybe even showing our suitably l33t skillz to boot.

In Space US released delayed

Posted on : 20-05-2010 | By : ollie | In : In Space

Unfortunately, the In Space DLC for Burn Zombie Burn has been delayed a few weeks for its US release. We originally were told that the DLC would go live on May 18th, however this date has now been pushed back to June 8th.

In short, the DLC will definitely get its US release but just a little bit later than expected. Naturally, this is frustrating for us as well as our US BZB fans. All we can ask is if you can hold out just a little bit longer.

In Space passes at Sony America

Posted on : 30-04-2010 | By : ollie | In : In Space

Over a month since we announced that Sony Europe passed the new Burn Zombie Burn patch and the In Space DLC, we’ve been told by Sony America that we’re finally good to go!

The patch will be made live for American gamers on the 4th May, with the In Space DLC made available on the 18th May. However if you’re in Europe, the In Space DLC will be released on the 5th May (due to the patch being released earlier). In terms of pricing, the DLC is $2.99 if you’re in the US, £2.49 if you’re in the UK and €2.99 for the rest of Europe.

Again, we’re really sorry for the extended delay for all this but the good news at least is that In Space is scheduled for a release finally. As for the next the next Burn Zombie Burn DLC pack, which is called “Zombie Sushi” in case you’re wondering, that is already being worked on and we’ll some rather cool updates on that in the next month or so.

In the meantime, get ready to burn some zombies in spaaaaaaaaaace…

New BZB patch live in Europe

Posted on : 01-04-2010 | By : ollie | In : Burn Zombie Burn

7

The new patch for Burn Zombie Burn went live in Europe today. This introduces the new Survival mode as well as Casual and Extreme difficulty settings we’ve talked about. In addition, there are now more leaderboards too, with the Co-Op ones giving us a nice warm glow in the office. However, some issues have surfaced because there are versions of the game out of sync with this new patch.

Due to the delay of the American patch specifically, this means the global leaderboards are out of sync with the new levels in the patched version of the game. In plain English, this means that some scores submitted in the these levels will be incorrectly entered onto different boards.

Don’t worry though, all scores are saved on your machine locally and when the American patch is released we’ll wipe down the boards – so you will be able to resubmit your scores correctly.

In any case, for those of you in Europe that bought the game you now have even more gaming content to play around with for absolutely free.

Finally, the In Space DLC will also be hitting the PSN store shortly after the release of the American patch. We’ll also be doing some superplay videos next week for the new In Space levels.
